Carbon Removal powered by Nature,
proven by Science

Visual describing how Enhanced Rock Weathering works.

How nature helps us capture carbon

Enhanced weathering is a scientifically grounded approach to carbon removal. When silicate rock powder is applied on farmland, it reacts with CO₂ carried by rainwater, converting it into stable minerals. This carbon is stored in the soil and gradually transported to rivers and the ocean, where it remains locked away for thousands of years.

It is a safe, science-backed process that improves soil health and helps farmers achieve higher yields, while also protecting coral reefs by reducing ocean acidification.

Tropicarbon turns rock dust into certified climate impact

1

Rock sourcing

We partner with existing quarries to source reactive silicate rock byproducts — no new mining required.

2

Crushing & Transport

Rocks are crushed and transported to farms close to the source, minimizing emissions and cost.

Application on Fields

3

We spread Tropicarbon's rock blend on farmland, where it starts capturing COâ‚‚ and improving soil health.

4

Measuring & Selling

Using state of the art technology, we quantify the carbon removal and sell high-quality, certified carbon credits to responsible buyers.

How we measure carbon removal

Tropicarbon develops scalable technology to measure how much carbon is removed from the atmosphere. Through soil and pore water sampling, we monitor chemical changes that quantify COâ‚‚ capture and storage.

By pushing the bounderies of science, we are helping set standards for the entire Enhanced Weathering space in line with leading carbon removal certifiers Isometric and Puro.Earth.

Science That Scales

In partnership with leading scientists and Universidad del Norte, Tropicarbon launched the Barranquilla Project to bring scientific rigor to Enhanced Weathering in Colombia.

In a controlled greenhouse, we test how our rock powder interacts with dozens of different Colombian soils under tropical conditions, measuring both carbon removal and agronomic impacts. These insights guide optimal site selection and help model future outcomes — reducing risk for investors and carbon buyers.

Grounded in Real-World Data

Tropicarbon’s field trials in Colombia validate carbon removal and agronomic benefits under real farming conditions. Our data collection follows Isometric and PuroEarth protocols for Enhanced Weathering, providing high-quality, verifiable results.

We validated our MRV system under field conditions and built relationships with all key partners from rock suppliers to farmers, ensuring full traceability and operational control as we scale.
